The Friedrich Ebert Foundation attaches the greatest importance to the protection of your personal data. The websites use so-called cookies in several places. They serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. In order to join the FES Palestine mailing list, you have to be subscribed. Subscription needs an email address where double-opt in procedure is enabled. This means a confirmation email is sent to your email address when subscribing to our list. This procedure is put in place in order to make sure that only the rightful owner of the email address receives our newsletter.
The FES Palestine newsletter platform is provided by Mailchimp. It is a US online marketing company operated by The Rocket Science Group LLC and has certified its compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. Yet, it is obliged to act according to the General Data Protection Regulations and abide by the EU data protection law (as specified in the Mailchimp "Customer EU Data Processing Addendum 8.2. Where required by law, Mailchimp will collect personal information only where they have our consent to do so.
Mailchimp data protection rights enable us to access, correct, update or request deletion of your personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws. In case you no longer want to receive our newsletter, you can opt-out at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the newsletter sent to you, or contact us directly to update or delete your data.
After you unsubscribe, Mailchimp will mark your email as unsubscribed so you don’t receive our newsletter anymore. However, Mailchimp keeps the email address in our unsubscribed list. If you wish to permanently delete your email from our records, please contact us directly by sending us an email to info(at)fespal.org in order to manually delete it from Mailchimp.
